Most cities in the world have a lot of international and home students that either want to go back home to visit their friends and family, or want to profit from their free time to explore the world while they still can. Unfortunately, often students do not get an opportunity to make that happen because the airline tickets to fly back home or for a holiday are too expensive.

Some airlines have a great service, which is called future discounts. Some offer discounts on your future flights because often college and university students don’t know exactly when they will be returning.
Students can notice that the best discounts they can get are offered on overseas flights. You have to keep in mind, though, that for such flights you will need to present proof of your student status and unfortunately, a lot of restrictions will be applied for such flights compared to normal airfare. You will get a big discount but in order to use it you will have to be very flexible in your dates and plans and be prepared to miss some school days and catch up on the material later.
Being a student gives certain advantages and using discounted airfares are a great way for airlines to help families to see their university age students more often and without too much pressure on the family budget.
But when you do select cheap flight to London or other major student destinations, make sure that you read all terms and conditions that apply and understand all the restrictions that come in exchange for the discount on the airfare. Try to book early to ensure you avoid disappointment.
